New Patients

When you walk into Chiropractic Fitness, you’ll see that we are ready and waiting for you. At our morning staff meetings, we discuss our new patients and how best to serve you. Your first name is listed on our welcome board, which will be the first thing you notice when you step in.

Our friendly staff will warmly greet you and give you some simple paperwork to fill out. Please remember to bring your insurance card with you so we can check your coverage.

The First Visit

Your initial appointment with us takes about 45 minutes to an hour. After filling out your paperwork, you’ll go to the examination room to meet with Dr. Schulman. You’ll tell us about your medical and injury history, then have an examination. Your exam consists of range of motion tests and feeling along your spine for misalignments, swelling or fixation. Then, we’ll do a computerized nerve scan to see the irritated nerves along your spine.

If we feel it’s needed, we’ll take digital X-rays on-site. These images allow us to see the underlying cause of your pain or dysfunction. On the same day, you’ll receive a report of findings and your first chiropractic adjustment. In some cases, such as if we need to request medical records, you may be adjusted the next day.

The Second Visit and Ongoing Visits

Your second visit consists of a report of findings and another adjustment. This visit and subsequent appointments will take about 20 minutes each.

Taking the Uncertainty Out of Care

We understand that it can feel intimidating to visit a new office for the first time. If you’ve never been to a chiropractor before, you’ll likely have a lot of questions for us. Dr. Schulman will take the time to address all of your concerns. Rest assured that none of our exam procedures or any of the treatments we provide will cause you pain. They’re designed to relieve your discomfort.
